Once our inventory is depleted we will no longer carry bats. There isn’t a clear ethical way to source bats and when we purchased our stock from a retired oddities seller we were not made completely aware of the unethical sourcing despite people who sell bats stating that it was from bat farms or under the guise of pest control when that is not always truly the case. We want to preserve items to celebrate the life of an animal, not destroy them for the sake of art. Due to this we will NOT be buying any more bats in the future once our stock is finished.  We do encourage Schools and Educators to contact us if they would like to purchase for Educational purposes, we will be happy to discount any specimens being used for educational purposes.

P44a #These displays are beautiful!  This is a large Taxidermy Long tongued nectar bat  nicely showcased in a glass front shadowbox with a black frame and material backing.  These are large displays and will really add to your collection.  These displays are approx. 12" x 10" x 1 1/2" and would be a great addition to any collection.  

 Species and fun facts: Macroglossus Minimus 

The long-tongued nectar bat, also known as the northern blossom bat, honey nectar bat, least blossom-bat, dagger-toothed long-nosed fruit bat, and lesser long-tongued fruit bat, is a species of megabat. M. minimus is one of the smallest species in the family Pteropodidae, with an average length of 60–85 mm

All displays will be carefully packed to the best of our ability to insure a safe and damage free arrival. Returns are excepted, please contact us ASAP if you would like to return the item. Return shipping to be paid by buyer.  Once the item is returned a refund will be issued. There are no refunds on shipping charges.
