Shrunken Head Reproduction Tsantsa Tribesmen

$124.99
A64   #3  This guy is too dope!  Check out the details!  Sure to creep even the stoutest of hearts!  He has been made by local tribesmen with indigenous features.  He has very long hair and facial hair.  Each head offered has been individually crafted.  The tribesmen use domestic goats (species: farmed domestic goats) for the hide and hair.  The also use the tribe methods used to make the original shrunken heads.   The head  was individually crafted from goat hide and hair in Ecuador by a talented artisan using methods comparable to original tsantsa (head shrinking).  There is a string attached so your head may be hung or it can be removed.  String is also used to sew the mouth and eyes shut on these guys.  This guy is displayed in a glass dome with a wood base , approx. size 10 x 5 1/2", see ruler in last picture.

The shrinking of human heads was originally only practiced by the Shuar people of Ecuador to trap the souls of their enemies.   They later became popular due to European demand from collectors for them.

It is no longer legal to shrink human heads so the modern tourist pieces are made from the skin of farmed domestic goats.
