Bring the wonders of the deep sea into your home with this striking, real Hermit Crab taxidermy specimen beautifully mounted inside a natural Partridge Tun Shell.
This standing display piece perfectly showcases the peculiar anatomy of the Paguroidea (hermit crab), making it an incredible conversation starter. Hermit crabs are fascinating decapod crustaceans known for occupying empty gastropod shells to protect their soft, fragile abdomens. Whether you are expanding a curiosity cabinet, adding to a natural history collection, or searching for a unique gift for a marine life enthusiast, this preserved specimen offers a rare glimpse into oceanic artistry.

📏 Product Specifications
  • Species: Real Hermit Crab (Paguroidea)
  • Natural Shell: ternate False fusus Shell (brunneifusus ternateus)
  • Approximate Dimensions:  5 x 2 1/2 x 2 1/2" (full leg spread)
  • Display Style: Free-standing mount, viewable from all angles

⚠️ Important Unboxing & Care Instructions
  • Open Outdoors or Over a Trash Can: The tiny static styrofoam beads we use are the absolute best way to protect fragile crab legs during shipping, but they love to scatter! Please open your package over a trash bin.
  • Easy Clean-Up: Use a pair of tweezers or a hair dryer on a cool, low setting to easily blow any stray packing beads out of the shell crevices.
  • Fragility & Minor Repairs: Because these items are highly intricate and brittle, a leg, antenni or eye may occasionally shift or detach during transit despite our extreme care. Please note that we do not offer refunds for detached parts.
  • How to Fix: If a minor break occurs, it can be easily fixed at home in just a few seconds! We highly recommend using hot glue or a tacky craft glue for repairs. Do not use super glue, as it can react poorly with the natural shell and specimen materials.
