⚠️ PLEASE READ — FRAGILE SPECIMEN

This is a delicate natural-history display, and the millipede's individual segments can occasionally separate during shipping or handling. We take great care when packaging these displays, but because of the fragile nature of the specimen, this can sometimes happen.

If a segment separates, don't worry! It is a very easy fix. Simply apply a small amount of glue around the end of the separated segment and gently reattach it. We recommend not using super glue. Elmer's glue, E6000, or hot glue work well.

We also have a repair video available upon request if you need a little help putting your millipede back together. 🖤

The millipede has been coated with a heavy clear protective coating to help reinforce the specimen and reduce the chance of breakage.

Due to the fragile and handmade nature of this item, we do not accept returns or refunds for segments that separate after delivery or during handling.

🪲 Real Preserved Millipede Glass Dome

Explore the fascinating beauty of the natural world with this unique handmade glass dome display from Scenic City Oddities.

At the center of this miniature natural-history scene is a real preserved millipede, beautifully arranged on a bed of preserved ferns and flowers. A real preserved snail and ladybug are also included, creating a charming little woodland-inspired ecosystem beneath the glass.

The specimen is displayed inside a clear glass dome with a natural wood base, making it a wonderful addition to an oddities collection, entomology display, curiosity cabinet, or nature-inspired home decor.

Each piece is handmade and arranged individually, making every display unique.

📏 Approximate Dimensions: 4" x 2½"

🇺🇸 Proudly handmade in the United States

** Important Handling & Shipping Information
  • Glass Dome Displays: If your item includes a glass cloche, please note that the dome is NOT permanently attached to the base. Use extreme care when lifting or removing the dome to avoid damaging the insect display, animal specimen or floral inside.
  • Fragile Elements: We pack every shadow box and taxidermy dome and any other piece with maximum care. However, insect antennae, legs and wings are incredibly fragile. While we do our best to protect them, we cannot 100% guarantee they won't suffer minor damage during transit.
  • When purchasing this item you are agreeing to the following: No claims for small broken parts such as antennae or a detached wing, there are no refunds or discounts issued for broken antennae as they are just too fragile to guarantee in shipping.  We do suggest using a cat or dog whisker with a drop of glue on the end to replace broken antenna on butterflies.  Wings and other small parts are easily fixable, and you should be aware that you may have to fix (glue) a part when purchasing items like these. We do offer a video that can show how to repair small parts with just a touch of glue.
  • Shipping Insurance: Shipping insurance is fully included in your shipping fee or item price.
  • In Case of Shipping Damage:
  • Please contact us immediately and forward pictures of the damaged item, box and box shipping label. We will then determine the best course of action to correct and rectify the issue and present you with options available.
  • If your item arrives damaged, the post office now requires the recipient to bring the item, the original box, and all original packing materials to a local postal center for physical inspection before an insurance claim is approved. To receive your refund, you must forward us the official inspection receipt provided by the post office. We will do our best to avoid this stressful situation for both our customers and ourselves.
