Large Wet Turtle Specimen

This is a beautifully preserved Pond Slider Turtle. He measures approximately 11 x 6.5 x 2.5" and is the exact specimen shown in the photos. Please look carefully. He comes with no specimen jar but any craft store will have jars, Hobby Lobby has the best selection.


The species is a Trachemys scripta Pond Turtle in the family Emydidae. They are common house pets and are found in Southern regions and Mexico.

LEGAL TO OWN THIS DISPLAY:
Turtles under 4" are illegal to have as pets due to the salmonella virus being carried on their shells and young children handling them. Specimens, educational, exhibition and hobby turtles are not illegal. Hence these deceased turtles are not illegal unless they are a protected species and this is not a protected species. .


Please note: Due to Usps shipping regulations the specimen will be shipped without alcohol. You need to provide a container with 70% isopropyl alcohol which can be purchased at any grocery or drug store for approx $2. at a Family Dollar or Dollar General Store.
