In the wild, the Barred Soapfish is a clever, carnivorous reef predator. It uses incredibly large, expandable jaws to swallow smaller fish and crustaceans completely whole. It gets its unique name from its remarkable defense mechanism: when threatened or stressed, it secretes a toxic skin mucus calledĀ grammistinĀ that textures the water into a soapy lather to deter predators.

Please contact us as soon as you receive the damaged item and forward pictures of the damaged item, box and label.Ā  We will then determine the best course of action to correct rectify the issue.Ā 
Per standard carrier rules, postal services now require the recipient to bring the damaged item, the original box, and all original packing material into a local post office for a physical inspection before insurance claims are approved. Once you have the item inspected, simply forward us a copy of the postal receipt acknowledging the inspection and USPS damage, and we will process your refund.Ā 
Our priority is secure packaging, saving us both the stress of dealing with shipping issues and trying to avoid these scenarios entirely!
